The Cycle of Endurance is a raw, unfiltered study of the seasoned handball player—a triptych that captures the "arc of the shed" in a single afternoon. It is an exploration of the body as an archive of effort, moving from brash confidence to the quiet, battered exhaustion of a game well-fought.

Panel I: The Approach. The stillness before the strike. Brash, composed, and ready.

Panel II: The Kinetic. The apex of the afternoon. A body in total, violent motion, distilled into a single frame of high-tension grace.

Panel III: The Battered. The descent. The player seated, gloves still on, eyes reflecting the tax of the heat and the concrete.

THE OBJECT
Three panels. One afternoon. A complete arc. Each panel is rendered on raw, heavyweight linen stretched over a wooden frame, the bottom half left deliberately hand-frayed — a material echo of the shedding that happens on the court. The fraying is not decoration; it is documentation. At 6 feet in total height per panel, the work demands physical presence in the room, commanding the wall the way the subject commands the concrete.

DIMENSIONS & INSTALLATION
This is a large-scale, custom triptych. Each panel measures 24"W × 72"H and is stretched on a wooden frame. Installed with the recommended 2" of breathing space between panels, the total footprint is approximately 76"W × 72"H. Due to the scale and the integrity of the hand-frayed linen, this work ships on wooden stretcher frames and cannot be rolled or re-stretched.
